SADDLE CARE & MAINTENACE

All saddles require care and maintenance.

* Your saddle will come with one coat of oil and is ready to ride in.
* Further oiling requirements will depend of the amount of usage.
* I recommend you oil your saddle at least every 12 months, more often if required.
* I recommend Oakwood Conditioner. It is not recommended to sit your saddle in the sun prior to oiling. 
* If your saddle gets wet, air dry in front of fan and re-set the fenders with a broomstick.
* Do not dry a wet saddle in front of a fire or heater, or in the hot sun.
* Do not oil suede or rough-out.
* Do not leave your saddle in very hot sun.
* Do not leave your saddle within reach of your horse or someone else horse….

Leather can be over-oiled and this can cause delimitation of glues used to manufacture your saddle. Do not over oil!
